DeSoto Wildlife Refuge and Visitor Center ~ Missouri Valley

Jones Creek Watershed - one of the first conservation projects in Iowa in the 1930s, and perhaps in the nation, constructed by C.C.C. workers.

- Danish Villages ~ Elkhorn
Danish Windmill - The 60-foot windmill, built in Denmark in 1848, was dismantled, shipped to Elk Horn, Iowa and rebuilt in 1976. The Mill includes the largest Danish Gift Shop in the U.S. Danish Immigrant Museum and Bedstemor's House are nearby.
